Ample Electric performed heavy civil construction for the underground conversion of overhead electrical distribution systems in active public and residential corridors. Our team self-performed excavation, trenching, conduit installation, potholing, pad construction, enclosure setting, slurry production, and full site restoration, while coordinating all utility locating (811/USA), GPR services, trucking, and stakeholder communication.
The project included nearly 34,000 LF of trenching and over 40,000 LF of conduit installation, along with 450+ potholes to safely verify existing utilities. We installed 45 equipment pads, set 43 enclosures, and placed protective bollards, while restoring roadways and producing over 5,000 CY of slurry through our in-house batch plant.
All work was executed in close coordination with utility owners, agencies, and the public, maintaining safety, quality, and schedule performance throughout.
