Ample Electric, Inc. is a growing company looking for an Electrical Superintendent to join our amazing team! Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Supervision of all field operations and projects.
• Lead project planning efforts to include, material procurement, manpower assignments, etc.
• Conduct quality control reviews of material and workmanship.
• Work closely with Project Manager and/or Project Coordinators to document contract changes, produce RFIs, update project schedules, review billings, etc.
• Create submittal packages as needed.
• Mentor foremen, journeymen, and apprentices.
• Assist field with technical questions, troubleshooting, and problem resolution.
• Ensure proper safety protocols are implemented.
• Participate in project meetings.
• Electrical material procurement and technical knowledge is required.

Qualifications:

• 5 years of electrical experience preferred.
• Electrical foreman experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask.

• Assist Estimator as needed
• Surety Bonds
• Bid Packages
• Pre-qualifications
• Business development
• Search for projects to bid
• Prepare job walk documents
• Review General Requirements/Technical Specifications

Contract Administration:

• Set and track budget throughout project life
• Issue subcontracts and vendor POs
• Produce schedule
• Process submittals, RFIs, change orders, closeouts
• Client coordination
• Risk and liability management
• Mentor and support coordinator and administrative staff
• Project data entry into Sage
• Approve subcontractor and vendor billing prior to payment processing

Field Coordination:

• Prepare project hand-off to field supervisor
• Support field staff as needed
• Overall quality control

Estimating:

• Assign job number to new estimates
• Assist Estimator with take-offs
• Subcontractor and vendor outreach
• Ensure quotes are saved in bid file
• Maintain outreach log, if used
• Establish and maintain relationships with vendors

Project Specific:

• Material procurement for assigned projects
• Assist PM with change order take-offs
• Coordinate with electricians, as requested
• Miscellaneous project-specific task as requested by PM

Shop:

• Receive shipments and deliveries
• Manage shop, keep clean and organized
• Manage will call
• Assist with material project kickoff/mobilization

Estimating:

• Maintain calendar and Monday for job walks and bid due dates
• Request bid bonds as directed
• Assist Estimator, as requested, to include sub/vendor call out
• Prepare bid documents and pre-qualifications as requested
• Maintain dropbox with bid documents
• Bid runs

Project Management:

• PG&E applications and coordination
• Permit and inspection coordination
• Union dispatch
• Entering and maintaining digital and physical copies of job files
• Create and maintain project files for field and office
• Cost code invoices per budget
• Coordinate assigned projects and service calls
• Process T&M billing, and progress billing
• Assist PM with sub and vendor coordination
• Utilize Sage for POs, COs, RFIs, etc.
• Create project work reports
• AR billing
• Request project insurance
• Generate pre liens for Office Manager to sign
• Setup supplier job accounts

Field Coordination:

• Maintain field/Client schedule
• Oversee material procurement by others

• Phone management
• AP entry
• Order office supplies as directed
• Review and code timecards
• Enter POs as requested
• Filing
• Administrative assistance as requested by Office Manager and
• President
• AR past due notice
• Daily review and reminders for staff for upcoming calendar events
• Manage of office calendar
• Check office voicemails
