Jose Diaz CEO/President

Mr. Diaz’s aspiration is to develop his corporation into a successful and reputable organization. His hands-on leadership approach provides the business oversight from of an experienced electrician that promotes efficiency, safety, and quality.

Jose was one of few selected by the SBA to participate in the T.H.R.I.V.E. program. His intent for this emerging leadership training is to stimulate and support Ample Electric, Inc.’s growth and pursue paths for business development.

Ample Electric, Inc. is the epitome of Jose’s global goals. He wants to overcome the stigmas around minority owned business, mentor others, and construct a company that is recognized as competent and respected. Jose is huge in reinvesting profits back into the community to influence a better well being and stimulate community togetherness.

Vice President of Operations
Katie Aalerud serves as Vice President of Operations at Ample Electric, where she oversees day-to-day operations, project execution, and organizational performance. With a strong focus on efficiency, safety, and quality, she plays a key role in driving the company’s growth and ensuring successful delivery across a wide range of electrical infrastructure projects. Katie is committed to building high-performing teams and maintaining the standards that define Ample Electric’s reputation in the industry.

Brandon De Lago

VP of Electrical Operations
Brandon De Lago is an accomplished electrical professional with 27 years of experience, including 7 years as an electrician and 20 years as a Project Manager overseeing industrial, commercial, solar, and battery system projects. Renowned for his strong technical expertise in electrical systems, he excels in delivering complex projects with precision and efficiency. A dedicated team player, Brandon is driven by a passion for collaboration and mentoring.

Kyle Spears

Director of Electrical Operations
Kyle Spears is a seasoned professional with more than two decades of experience in the electrical industry. He began his career as the owner of Spears Electric, demonstrating strong entrepreneurial leadership, and later served as a general foreman where he further developed his field and team management expertise. Kyle has overseen the execution of complex projects, ensuring efficiency and quality across all phases.

Paul White

Director of Civil Operations
Paul has 38+ years of construction experience delivering large infrastructure projects, including dams, high-rises, and civil developments. Starting as a foreman, he advanced to superintendent, leading major federal projects and overseeing multiple teams. Now Director of Civil Operations at Ample, he builds and leads teams, ensuring high standards of safety, quality, and efficient, reliable project delivery.

Phil Hamilton​

Phil Hamilton is a 24-year industry veteran with extensive experience in electrical design, estimating, and project management. He brings over 18 years of design expertise and more than a decade of leadership in estimating and project oversight. Phil focuses on driving business growth while ensuring successful project delivery. His experience spans a diverse portfolio of work, including federal, public works, industrial, commercial, and residential projects.

Grant Bradford

Service Manager
Grant Bradford leads service operations with a practical, solutions-focused approach grounded in real-world construction experience. His background as a residential general contractor and union insulator brings valuable field insight to problem-solving and team coordination. With formal education in accounting, business, and construction management from UC Davis, Grant ensures projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards.

Allison Hamaker

Controller
With deep experience in accounting both in manufacturing and construction, Allison brings her expertise and strategic insight to her role as Corporate Controller at Ample Electric.  She holds a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy and an MBA from CSU Sacramento, was an adjunct professor at Sac City College and Cosumnes River College and is an Arthur Andersen Alum.

Melissa Atkin

Office Manager
Melissa Atkin brings expertise in construction administration, certified payroll, and compliance management. She oversees critical administrative functions that support project execution, including payroll compliance, labor regulations, and financial coordination. With a foundation in accounting and human resources, Melissa helps drive operational efficiency and ensures projects meet contractual and regulatory standards.

Chris Brown

Civil Project Manager
Chris Brown has over 40 years of experience in the utilities sector, including 30 years in leadership and project management roles. With a background in the military, he brings a disciplined, results-driven approach to his work. He currently leads project and program management efforts with a focus on business development and growth. Chris oversees heavy civil undergrounding projects from estimating through final invoicing, ensuring quality and efficiency throughout.

Jamie Sousa

Civil APM
Jamie Sousa has 15+ years of experience leading heavy civil construction projects from preconstruction to delivery. With expertise in field operations and construction accounting, she improves performance through cost visibility and efficient processes. She aligns teams, clients, and stakeholders on scope, schedule, and budget, ensuring accountability, strong team performance, and safe, successful project outcomes.

Jesse Carabez

Fleet/Safety Manager
Jesse Carabez is responsible for maintaining a safe and efficient work environment across all operations. He manages the company’s fleet, coordinates maintenance, and ensures vehicles and equipment are ready to support field teams. In his safety role, Jesse helps uphold standards, promote safe work practices, and support compliance, contributing to smooth and reliable project execution.

Juan Tovar

Project Engineer
Juan Tovar is a vital member of the civil operations team, playing a central role in both planning and execution. He is deeply involved in all phases of work. Juan is known for his strong problem-solving abilities, proactive approach, and commitment to maintaining high safety standards. He also coordinates subcontractors to ensure quality performance and adherence to project schedules. He helps drive efficient and successful project delivery.

Martha Bishop

Project Coordinator
Martha has 8 years of project coordinating experience. She is known for her clear and consistent communication with general contractors, subcontractors, and vendors, and building strong working relationships. Additionally, she provides valuable assistance to the Project Manager and Superintendent, supporting them. Through her organizational skills, attention to detail, and proactive problem-solving.

Rosy Chavez

Project Coordinator
Rosy Chavez serves as Project Coordinator at Ample Electric, Inc., supporting project execution through coordination, documentation, and communication. With a background in electrical construction, she specializes in RFIs, submittals, and project tracking across high- and medium-voltage, industrial, and utility projects. Rosy’s attention to detail and bilingual communication skills help ensure projects stay organized, compliant, and on schedule.

Priscilla Lopez

Project Coordinator
Priscilla is a Lead Project Coordinator with 19+ years of experience in utility and civil construction, specializing in PG&E operations and compliance. She manages the full project lifecycle, including permits, scheduling, coordination, and closeout, while supporting teams with documentation, invoicing, and updates. She focuses on efficiency, compliance, and successful project delivery.

Ernan Rodriguez

Project Coordinator
Ernan Rodriguez serves as Project Coordinator at Ample Electric, Inc., supporting project execution while also overseeing office operations at the company’s Sacramento location. With a strong background in accounting and a degree from UC Davis, he brings a detail-oriented and organized approach to both project coordination and administrative management. Ernan plays a key role in keeping projects and office functions running efficiently.

Alex Velasco

Office Administrator
Alex Velasco is a detail-oriented Office Administrator at Ample Electric, Inc., supporting company operations with a high level of accuracy and organization. From managing accounts payable to coordinating material receiving, he plays an essential role in maintaining efficient workflows. Alex’s commitment to precision and team support contributes to the overall success of both office and field operations.

Katie has 19 years of experience within the construction industry, with 14 of those years directly focused as Project Manager, Estimator, Superintendent, Quality Control, and Safety Officer positions. Her management experience is mainly concentrated on tenant improvement, heavy civil and electrical work for varous Federal and Public Works clients

 

Melissa Atkin is a result oriented leader committed to creating work processes that support project management. Her previous work experience in accounting and payroll coupled with her human resource management and interpersonal skills supports efficient project execution and reconciliation. Melissa also offers expertise with labor law regulations, certified payroll compliance, as well as adherence to all contractual financial requirements.

 

Phil Hamilton is a 22 year industry veteran with 18 years of experience in design and 10 years within lead estimating and project management roles. Phil’s current career objective is focused on promoting business growth and managing project success. Mr. Hamilton’s experience is composed of a diverse portfolio including federal, public works, industrial, commercial and residential scopes.
